Absolutely great read; does REALLY, REALLY support how diff the band was w Pig, eh? All that crap from GoP here, my droning on about what my brothers said, etc., etc.

I think the one thing that ALL the latter day DEAD heads miss is that keybd players came and went, and the band declined (my mantra), BUT the ONE really big shift was going from Pig's band to the DEAD, or however you want to term it...

Anyhoo, to second Rose, this was a great read--a real contribution round here, sko!

As I've always said, you have to have been there to really get it. Yeah, the Lovelight raps may seem repetitive, but people didn't follow them around or have all the tapes (or any!). Seeing his moves, his command of the audience--it was like waiting for a grand finale. Musically--that's a matter of taste. If all we had were tapes . . . . But the show--and the showman.

Oh. Uh. Er. Well at least I picked up on the wrong StSt lyrics in the article ... so I'd get one point in GD Trivial Pursuit ...
